Recently, a team from the Litigation practice area of BMAJ led by partner Jorge Bofill, worked constantly with the Constitution, Legislation and Justice Committee of the Senate in the drafting of the current law 20.393 that imposes CRIMINAL LIABILITY TO LEGAL PERSONS IN THE CRIMES OF MONEY LAUNDERING, TERORIST FINANCING AND BRIBERY, published in Diario Oficial on December 2, 2009.
The firm also has a strong commitment in matters of public interest. Members of the firm have participated in negotiations of Chilean Free Trade Agreements, held key roles in advising legislative commissions on several important issues such as the reform of the Chilean criminal procedural system, among others.
